Field Service Engineer Materials Handling
Location: Great Yarmouth
Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 DOE + Overtime + Benefits
Hours: Full-Time (40 hours per week, Monday - Friday)
About the Role
We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Field Service Engineer to join a well-established and growing engineering business. In this role, you will be responsible for the commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of materials handling equipment and plant machinery, working directly with customers across the region. You will be part of a supportive team and report to the Service Coordinator. This is a field-based, customer-facing role, offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to develop your technical and professional skills within a close-knit, family-oriented business.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission, service, and maintain materials handling and powered access equipment
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on plant and machinery
- Replace or repair faulty components as required
- Work closely with the Service Coordinator to manage and complete scheduled work
- Deliver a high standard of customer service while on-site
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety regulations
- Complete relevant documentation and adhere to company procedures
- Continuously develop your skills through training and hands-on experience
About You
- Experience working as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar role
- Multi-skilled with a strong mechanical and electrical background
- Experience with materials handling equipment and/or powered access equipment
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Able to work to deadlines and maintain high standards
- Committed to Health & Safety compliance
