3.5T Delivery Drivers Wanted - Apply Now!

Full-time Temporary Positions Last between 1 to 5 weeks (Start May 24th).

£12.97 Per Hour - Hours Range from 35 to 45 Per Week.

5 AM Start, Monday to Friday, shift finishes when last item delivered.

Due to recent company changes we have a new and exciting opportunity with a leading distribution company that supplies products to merchants and retailers.

You will need your own transport to get to the site, as there are no public transport links available, and the site is based at the distribution centre just outside of Southampton.

You will be driving a company 3.5T automatic van completing 20 to 40 drops per day, using a handheld device for stock inventory and for signing off deliveries completed.

The company remains committed to providing a first-class, efficient and friendly service to repeat customers and suppliers. You must be able to communicate with customers and offer a high level of customer service.

You will be set and ready to leave the distribution warehouse for 5am every day, delivering to repeat customers, ensuring that all products ordered are delivered and dropped off at pre-agreed locations/drop-off points. Managing any variations to the drop-off routes and organising rescheduled drops when needed.

This role is job and finish, so hours can vary depending on route and drop numbers. Overtime is at the discretion of management, as most routes do not require you to be out on the road for more than 8 hours per shift, or over 40 hours per week. However, any hours worked over 40 in a week will be paid at time and a quarter.

All company vans are fitted with telematics to record what happens inside and outside the van during deliveries and drop-offs.

Requirements

  • Full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
  • Must be able to drive an automatic 3.5T van.
  • Experience as a 3.5T multi-drop driver or delivery driver is essential.
  • Customer service skills.
  • A flexible approach to working hours due to early starts.
  • Ability to communicate in English is essential, due to interacting with customers.
  • Must be well presented.
  • Eligible to work full time in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure orders are complete on delivery and accurately record shortages/delivery issues.
  • Using an electronic device/PDA to record delivery data.
  • Report any issues with deliveries/queries to the office.
  • Must ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest health and sanitation standards.
