Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 16:00

Pay Rate: Up to 19.50 per hour (dependent on experience)

The Role

We are recruiting an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join a well‑established, forward‑thinking manufacturing business based in Southampton. This is a temp‑to‑perm opportunity, with an initial minimum contract of 6 months, offering the chance to secure a long‑term position within a high‑performing engineering team. You will play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient running of CNC machine tools, producing high‑quality precision components in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate Integrex CNC machine tools
  • Load, run, and monitor CNC programs accurately
  • Set cutting tools and establish tool and workpiece datums
  • Monitor tool condition and carry out tool changes or basic maintenance as required
  • Perform self‑inspection of finished components to drawings and layouts
  • Ensure all work meets quality and customer specifications

About You

  • Proven experience setting and operating CNC Milling and Turning machines
  • Strong working knowledge of Mazak / Mazatrol machines
  • Confident using CNC machine controllers
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and planning layouts
  • High attention to detail with strong self‑inspection skills
  • Proactive attitude towards problem-solving and tool maintenance
