Our established client is seeking qualified HGV Technicians.

Location: Heathrow, UB3

Hours: rotating shifts 6am to 3.30pm and 1.30pm to 10pm, 42.5 hour week, with 30 minutes unpaid lunch. OT available at weekends.

In the role of HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of Heavy Goods Vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using specialist diagnostic equipment.
  • Carry out repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension systems.
  • Complete routine maintenance and preventative servicing.
  • Perform inspections and post-repair testing.
  • Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
  • Participate in breakdown cover rota when required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician or similar role.
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • HGV licence and FLT licence desirable but not essential.
