Location: West Midlands

Day rate: £500-550 per day (Outside IR35)

Length: 6 months with likely extension

Set up: 5 days per week on site

Start: Immediate start

We are currently supporting a major Energy from Waste project to find a new Health and Safety Consultant. This is a large-scale construction and commissioning project, currently entering the final stages of delivery. The site has begun testing and commissioning activities and has recently started connecting to the grid. The project has a strong focus on driving progress towards completion by the end of this year. The successful contractor will work closely with construction teams, the principal contractor and wider project stakeholders to maintain strong HSE standards during a critical phase of the project.

Key Focus Areas

  • Strong stakeholder management across contractors and project teams
  • Working closely with builders and operational teams regarding practical safety approaches
  • Ensuring proactive management of HSE risks across site
  • Influencing and driving positive safety behaviours within a live construction environment

Ideal Background

  • Strong construction HSE experience
  • Experience within major construction projects in energy, infrastructure, industrial or utilities environments
  • Comfortable in fast-paced project environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capability
  • Experience within commissioning, testing or handover phases would be beneficial
