About the role
A leading healthcare provider is seeking an experienced and commercially aware Head of Patient Services to lead and develop a high-performing patient services function within a fast-paced healthcare environment. This is an exciting opportunity for an operationally focused leader who is passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience while driving service performance, efficiency, and growth.
You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end patient journey, ensuring all patient enquiries, bookings, and service pathways are managed efficiently and professionally. Leading a patient services team, you will drive a culture focused on patient care, accountability, responsiveness, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with clinicians and internal stakeholders to optimise patient flow, improve service delivery, and support the ongoing growth of private healthcare services.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a patient services team within a busy healthcare environment
- Oversee patient enquiries, bookings, escalations, and service delivery performance
- Drive service improvements to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency
- Monitor KPIs, team performance, and patient journey outcomes
- Build strong working relationships with clinicians and internal stakeholders
- Support operational growth and identify opportunities to improve processes and service delivery
- Ensure high standards of professionalism, compliance, and patient care are maintained
What we are looking for
- Previous experience managing teams within healthcare, patient services, operations, or service delivery
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills
- Experience working within fast-paced healthcare environments
- A patient-focused and commercially aware mindset
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong operational and organisational capability with a continuous improvement approach
- Experience within private healthcare, NHS, outpatient, or clinical service environments would be advantageous
