We are seeking a senior Head of Health and Safety to lead and shape our safety agenda. This is a pivotal role responsible for driving excellent safety standards across a diverse portfolio, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the company's Health and Safety strategy across all projects
- Promote a strong, positive safety culture on site and within teams
- Ensure adherence to all relevant UK legislation and industry standards
- Provide expert guidance and influence senior leadership and operational teams
- Monitor safety performance, manage risk, and drive ongoing improvements
The successful candidate will have:
- Hold relevant Health and Safety qualifications and ideally be a Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH), or working towards this status
- Proven leadership experience within construction safety
- Deep knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and industry best practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and construction sector experience
