About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Head Cook to join our team in the HU9 area of Hull. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about preparing nutritious, high-quality meals and leading a small kitchen team within an adult workforce setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and cook balanced meals in line with dietary requirements
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and maintain high standards of food hygiene
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and kitchen budgets
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff where required
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety and food safety regulations

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a cook or head cook in a similar setting
  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
