The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will play a key role in supporting classroom learning and helping pupils thrive in a safe and encouraging setting. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will become part of a collaborative staff team that works together to create engaging learning experiences for all children.
Responsibilities- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons across the primary curriculum.
- Providing targeted 1:1 support and small group interventions to help pupils develop literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
- Assisting with tracking student progress and reporting observations to teaching staff.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
- Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children in an educational or care setting.
- Show a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional approach to work.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Meet all GSL safer recruitment and safeguarding requirements.
- Hold an Enhanced Child DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
