Reporting to: Production Supervisor

Hours: 40 hours per week (rotating three weekly shifts)

  • 07:00 - 14:45 (Days)
  • 14:45 - 22:45 (Afternoons)
  • 22:45 - 07:00 (Nights)

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Process Operator to join our Production team. This role involves working with advanced extruders to produce high-quality thermoplastic materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up machinery to the correct specifications and monitor performance
  • Ensure consistent product quality through regular testing and inspection
  • Measure, request, and load raw materials accurately
  • Maximise machine output and production efficiency
  • Carry out quality control tests (e.g. Ash, MFI, volatiles, chip quality) in line with schedules
  • Report any quality or production issues promptly to the Shift Supervisor
  • Maintain clear communication regarding production status
  • Follow all operating procedures and ISO 9001 quality standards
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards across the work area
  • Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Undertake additional duties as required by management

About You

  • Good general level of education
  • Counterbalance forklift truck licence - Essential
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Reliable with a good attendance record
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving and organisational skills
