An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities / Project Engineer to join a leading global defence and aerospace organisation within the Rotary and Mission Systems division. Based primarily in Havant, this role will also support sites in Westbury and Gloucester as required. You will be responsible for supporting and delivering a range of internal facilities projects involving electrical, mechanical, and civil works across secure operational environments. This is a varied and hands-on role requiring close collaboration with internal stakeholders including Facilities, Security, Health & Safety, IT, and operational user groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the development and delivery of internal facilities projects
  • Providing technical facilities input into project scopes and solution options
  • Assisting with the development of scopes of work for procurement activities
  • Producing and maintaining project plans and schedules
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders and external contractors
  • Reviewing contractor documentation and project paperwork
  • Supporting project management activities through to completion and business sign-off
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with building regulations and company standards

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Previous experience within Project Engineering or Project Management
  • Experience within a facilities, construction, engineering, or defence environment would be highly advantageous
  • Good understanding of project management methodologies and delivery techniques
  • Working knowledge of 2D and/or 3D CAD software such as AutoCAD
  • Experience using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications
  • Understanding of building regulations and facilities compliance requirements
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage contractor activities and review technical documentation

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH Level 2 Health & Safety qualification (minimum requirement)
  • PRINCE2 certification or membership of a recognised professional project management body would be advantageous

This role falls inside IR35. BPSS clearance is required prior to starting.
