Facilities Supervisor – 12 month contract based in Havant offering 30‑40 hours inside IR35.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction of daily operations as required.
  • First line responsibility for safety, review of RAMs, issue permits, etc.
  • Efficiently deliver maintenance activities utilising external contractors, including monitoring and reporting on issues.
  • Ensure all statutory inspections completed on time for assets under facilities control and monitor landlord completion.
  • Develop and improve maintenance job plans for facilities assets.
  • Check returned reports and certificates for accurate and correct content before submitting for CMMS closure/arranging additional or remedial work.
  • Act as facilities representation for project handover/acceptance of new plant.
  • Collect asset registration data and support the development of the CMMS.
  • Daily use and support of CMMS to control workflow.
  • Ensure facilities‑related command media is appropriate and in line with business and legislative requirements.

Qualifications & skills:

  • Previous supervisory or management experience within a facilities or maintenance environment.
  • Professional experience in facilities management or a related field, ideally within the defence industry.
  • Experience managing both in‑house maintenance teams and external contractors.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS platforms such as Maximo or IBM TRIRIGA.
  • Good understanding of relevant facilities legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Ability to review and understand RAMs and issue permits to work.
  • Experience hosting and coordinating external contractors on site.
  • Acquisition of an SC level security clearance.
