Aura Retrofit is one of the leading energy efficiency and retrofit installers in the South of England. We deliver the full range of domestic energy efficiency measures (heat pumps, solar PV, insulation, boilers), with ambitious plans for growth. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Installations Engineer to join our growing field operations team. This role involves the installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance of domestic electrical systems in occupied properties. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering work to the highest compliance, safety, and customer service standards while supporting Aura Retrofit’s mission of innovation and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installations, upgrades, inspections, and maintenance in domestic properties to a high standard.
- Focus on heat pump, heating controls, solar PV and electric storage heater installations.
- Complete rigorous testing, certification, and reporting.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and deliver works with minimal disruption.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles where applicable.
- Comply with all SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) policies and procedures.
Key Skills and Experience Required
Essential
- Qualified in BS7671:2018 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
- Proven experience with electrical installation in occupied domestic environments.
- High standards of workmanship and compliance, while delivering efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly in documentation and certification.
- Strong understanding of current legislation, standards, and best practices.
- Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Preferred
- 2391-52 Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations.
- Solar PV installation experience and/or qualifications.
- Battery Storage experience and/or qualifications.
