Our client, a leading company in the defence sector, is currently seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a specialist in hardware to apply their expertise across the full development life‑cycle in a new and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting analysis of customer requirements
  • Creating and modifying electronic designs and architecture
  • Using simulation tools to generate verification test benches
  • Participating in design reviews
  • Performing configuration control
  • Integrating hardware components

Job Requirements

  • The successful candidate should possess experience in several of the following areas:
  • Proficiency in designing analogue circuits, including amplifiers, filters, and oscillators
  • Understanding signal integrity and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) principles
  • Familiarity with analogue‑to‑digital converters (ADCs), digital‑to‑analogue converters (DACs), and mixed‑signal design
  • Skills in designing power supply circuits and managing power distribution
  • Proficiency in using oscilloscopes and spectrum analysers for testing and debugging
  • Experience in hardware design and verification against an agreed set of requirements
  • Good understanding of requirements capture, work package definition, and effort estimation
  • Ability to create and modify analogue and digital hardware designs
  • Module and system commissioning experience
  • Support for the manufacturing department during build and test phases
