A well-established engineering services organisation with a long-standing presence in the industry is seeking a Site Mechanical Manager to support both office-based operations and on-site activities. This role involves overseeing a small team of engineers working across multiple client locations, carrying out maintenance and repair work on a wide range of industrial equipment, including motors, pump systems, and other mechanical assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of field-based engineers
  • Visit client sites to assess technical requirements and diagnose issues
  • Prepare cost estimates and quotations for proposed work
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding project progress
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of new team members
  • Oversee staff development, including performance reviews and training plans

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of industrial mechanical systems, including pumps and motors
  • Electrical knowledge or background preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar leadership or supervisory role
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a technical team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Competence with standard IT tools (e.g., office software)
