Day shifts. Salary circa up to £45k plus overtime. The role involves carrying out inspections and maintenance on a diverse fleet of heavy goods vehicles, including main dealer HGVs, refuse collection vehicles, road sweepers, hook loaders, light commercial vans, trailers, and tippers.
Responsibilities
- Routine and preventative maintenance
- MOT preparation
- Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards
- Perform six or eight weekly inspections
- Correct running defects
- Chassis and fabrication work
- Hydraulics and pneumatics work
- Improve vehicle standards
- Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections
Qualifications
- Fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent
- Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or EV qualification desirable
- Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence preferred
