Day shifts. Salary circa up to £45k plus overtime. The role involves carrying out inspections and maintenance on a diverse fleet of heavy goods vehicles, including main dealer HGVs, refuse collection vehicles, road sweepers, hook loaders, light commercial vans, trailers, and tippers.

Responsibilities

  • Routine and preventative maintenance
  • MOT preparation
  • Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards
  • Perform six or eight weekly inspections
  • Correct running defects
  • Chassis and fabrication work
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics work
  • Improve vehicle standards
  • Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent
  • Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or EV qualification desirable
  • Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence preferred
