Our client has been installing and maintaining vertical gardens for over 30 years. They pride themselves on delivering high‑quality, innovative and bespoke vertical gardens across a range of prestigious commercial and residential projects in and around London. Their work combines technical expertise with a strong commitment to craftsmanship, reliability, and excellent client service.
They are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyperson to support our installation and maintenance teams across multiple sites in London. This is a practical, hands‑on role requiring strong general maintenance skills, particularly in irrigation systems, guttering, and general plumbing.
The successful candidate must have a solid understanding of how irrigation systems work, including installation, troubleshooting, and repairs. While plant knowledge is not essential, an interest in horticulture would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities- Installation of the irrigation systems for new projects
- Installation of guttering for new projects
- Carry out fault finding on irrigation systems on previous projects if and where necessary
- Undertake general handyman tasks including fixing, assembling, and basic carpentry and installation of aluminium backing boards
- Use tools and equipment safely and effectively on‑site
- Support site set‑up and breakdown, including moving materials and equipment
- Work across multiple sites, ensuring high standards of workmanship
- Adhere to health and safety requirements at all times
- Essential: Proven experience in a handyperson, maintenance, or similar role
- Good working knowledge of irrigation systems (or willingness to learn quickly)
- Experience with guttering, drainage, or plumbing‑related tasks
- Confident using a wide range of tools and equipment
- Practical problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
- Desirable: Basic knowledge of plants or horticulture
- Experience working on commercial or residential sites
- IPAF, PASMA, or other relevant certifications
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive, can‑do attitude
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
- Flexible and adaptable to different sites and tasks
- Professional and courteous when dealing with clients
Work will be across various locations in London. Occasional early starts or out‑of‑hours work may be required. Training will be provided where needed.
