Our client is a modern accountancy firm with a strong presence across the South. They are looking to appoint an Outsourcing Manager to join their Guildford office.
Role
As Outsourcing Manager, you will manage a diverse portfolio of SME clients across a range of sectors, leading a small team while keeping hands-on involvement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver monthly and quarterly management accounts, bookkeeping reviews and VAT reporting.
- Oversee workflow, review work prepared by juniors and seniors, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, resolving queries, advising on system improvements and spotting opportunities to add value.
- Lead client onboarding, including system reviews, process mapping and technology set-up (predominantly Xero).
- Prepare complex management account packs, cashflows, forecasting and budgeting where needed.
- Work closely with Partners to ensure a smooth client experience and high-quality service delivery.
- Co-coach, mentor and shape best practice within the team.
- Contribute to operational improvements across the outsourcing offering as the firm grows.
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA qualified or finalist with solid experience in Outsourcing, Business Services or Management Accounts.
- Comfortable managing a portfolio and reviewing work.
- Strong on systems – Xero experience essential; add-on knowledge a bonus.
- Commercially aware with a client-first mindset.
- Natural communicator with a collaborative leadership style.
- Enjoys improving processes and driving consistency.
