Duties as a Vehicle Technician

  • Perform high‑quality vehicle maintenance and repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards
  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to diagnose damage or wear
  • Provide expert technical advice and communicate effectively with customers
  • Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations and quality standards
  • Collaborate with the service reception and workshop control teams to ensure efficient workflow
  • Support fellow Vehicle Technicians by sharing technical knowledge and assisting where needed
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Ensure vehicles are returned to customers in a safe and roadworthy condition

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification
  • Strong understanding of vehicle safety standards and repair procedures
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet targets
  • Valid UK driving licence is essential; a current MOT licence is advantageous
  • Previous experience working with recognised automotive brands is desirable but not mandatory
