The Company

My client operates as a Principal Contractor, focusing on recladding works. They work across cladding, roofing, glazing, and insulation. Projects include high-rise residential towers, commercial office buildings, and public sector developments (education, healthcare, government buildings, high-performance façades for energy-efficient buildings) with their HQ based in SE London.

The Role - Quantity Surveyor

My client is looking to appoint an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join the team on a hybrid working basis (2 days from home). Working closely with the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Commercial aspects of cladding and façade projects, including cost planning, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Managing variations, valuations, and final accounts.
  • Applying technical knowledge of cladding systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Adapting commercial strategies to maintain programme and protect margins.
  • Negotiating with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Monitoring and managing project risks, implementing measures to control costs and mitigate potential issues.

This role offers the opportunity to lead on complex façade projects, with strong career progression.
