An established and highly respected construction company is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Construction Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple construction and MOD (Ministry of Defence) projects across the East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of projects, managing both site operations and office-based coordination to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.

The Role
As Senior Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple construction and MOD works from inception through to completion. You will coordinate teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders while ensuring all operational, commercial, and health & safety objectives are achieved. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational ability, and a proactive approach to project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple construction and MOD projects simultaneously
- Oversee day‑time site operations and office-based project coordination
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, site teams, and project schedules
- Maintain full compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders throughout project lifecycles
- Monitor budgets, project performance, and resource allocation
- Produce project reports, documentation, and programme updates
- Identify risks and resolve issues proactively to minimise disruption
- Support and mentor operational teams to maintain high performance standards
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will have proven experience managing construction projects within a demanding environment and possess strong operational and leadership capabilities.
Essential Requirements
- Proven construction/project management experience
- Experience delivering sensitive construction projects or working within secure/high‑compliance environments
- SMSTS qualification
- NVQ in Construction Management or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of construction processes and health & safety legislation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience working on commercial, infrastructure, refurbishment, or government‑funded projects
- Knowledge of MOD compliance procedures and standards
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors
