We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Agent to oversee the successful delivery of major highways and infrastructure schemes across the UK. The ideal candidate will come from a Highways England (National Highways) or large-scale civil engineering background and be confident managing complex, fast-paced projects from start to finish. This role requires someone willing to lodge away during the week, with all accommodation and travel expenses covered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of day-to-day site management on major highways schemes.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Lead and motivate site teams and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
  • Manage and review RAMS, ITPs, site diaries, progress reports, and programme updates.
  • Liaise closely with clients, project managers, engineers, and local authorities.
  • Drive Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance to the highest standard.
  • Coordinate resources, materials, and logistics efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Support project planning, forecasting, and risk management activities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Agent or Senior Site Agent in Highways or Major Infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Highways England (DMRB) specifications and HSE legislation.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams and priorities.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, site documentation, and project reporting tools.
  • Relevant qualifications: CSCS (Black or Gold Card), SMSTS, First Aid at Work (NRSWA or Temporary Works Coordinator desirable).
