We are looking to recruit Seasonal Waterway Operatives / Bridge Operators for the Gloucester Sharpness Canal. The duties include:

  • Manually operating hand-wound bridges to allow safe passage of boats through, then closing up behind them.
  • Daily checks on the bridge to confirm safe operation.
  • Communicating via phone between bridges as part of a wider team.

This is considered a manual labour job.
