CNX Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting confidentially on behalf of a well‑established and growing construction contractor for an experienced Working Foreman to join their team on a permanent basis in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected company delivering high-quality residential new builds, refurbishments, and extension projects across the Central Belt.

The Role

The successful candidate will take a hands‑on approach to managing residential construction projects while leading site operations and coordinating trades to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day‑to‑day site operations on residential builds and extensions
  • Manage subcontractors and site labour effectively
  • Ensure works are completed to programme and specification
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety on site
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and management teams
  • Carry out quality inspections and resolve on‑site issues
  • Assist with site paperwork, deliveries, and scheduling

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Working Foreman within residential construction
  • Strong background in house extensions, refurbishments, and domestic builds
  • Ability to lead trades while remaining hands‑on when required
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Valid CSCS card essential
  • SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
