CNX Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting confidentially on behalf of a well‑established and growing construction contractor for an experienced Working Foreman to join their team on a permanent basis in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected company delivering high-quality residential new builds, refurbishments, and extension projects across the Central Belt.
The Role
The successful candidate will take a hands‑on approach to managing residential construction projects while leading site operations and coordinating trades to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day site operations on residential builds and extensions
- Manage subcontractors and site labour effectively
- Ensure works are completed to programme and specification
- Maintain high standards of health & safety on site
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and management teams
- Carry out quality inspections and resolve on‑site issues
- Assist with site paperwork, deliveries, and scheduling
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Working Foreman within residential construction
- Strong background in house extensions, refurbishments, and domestic builds
- Ability to lead trades while remaining hands‑on when required
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Valid CSCS card essential
- SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
- Full UK driving licence preferred
