First People Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and highly respected contractor based in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of work across major infrastructure and civil engineering projects throughout Scotland, with a particular focus on Scottish Water frameworks.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with operational teams and senior management to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Managing the commercial performance of multiple projects
- Preparing valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
- Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, and accounts
- Producing accurate cost reports and forecasts
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Supporting operational teams throughout project delivery
- Maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Minimum 5 years' experience within a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Previous experience working on Scottish Water frameworks is beneficial
- Experience operating at Senior QS level or ready to step into a senior role
- Strong contractual and commercial awareness
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Full UK driving licence
