The role: You will provide hands-on electrical engineering support across a range of projects, including new product development, customer-driven modifications, and the continued improvement of existing systems. This position requires a practical engineer who is comfortable balancing technical detail with wider project objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver electrical and electronic design solutions for new and existing systems.
  • Support technical investigations and engineering change activity.

Skills and experience: You should have proven experience in electrical and electronic system design, with a strong background in electrical engineering calculations and practical project delivery. Experience with PLC programming and IEC languages would be beneficial, along with competence using engineering design and CAD tools. A good understanding of electrical standards and compliance requirements is essential, as is experience working with high- and low-voltage systems, power distribution, cable and component selection, and battery-powered or energy-storage systems. Experience in regulated environments such as marine, defence, industrial, or similar sectors would be advantageous, as would familiarity with PLM systems. A degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent industry experience, is required.

About you: You will be a strong communicator with excellent organisational skills and a methodical, detail-focused approach to engineering documentation.
