Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and consolidation of financial reports for the group, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and accounting standards.
- Working with key stakeholders to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and reforecasts, providing insight into business performance.
- Ownership of the month-end process, including preparation of management accounts, variance analysis, and commentary for senior leadership.
- Monitoring and reporting on cash flow to support effective financial decision-making.
- Performing detailed reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Assisting with internal and external audit requirements, ensuring timely submission of all relevant information.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
- Building strong relationships with internal teams, budget holders, and external auditors.
Requirements:
- Newly Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Background in practice (highly desirable) or proven industry experience.
- Experience with group reporting and consolidation (advantageous but not essential).
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across departments.
- Ambitious and motivated, with a desire to grow within a dynamic organisation.
