Based in Inverclyde, the client is recruiting an Accounts Analyst to join their finance team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role involves Monday‑Friday 9am–5pm, with hybrid working – three days in the office and two days from home. The offices are easily accessible by public transport and provide on‑site parking. This position offers an opportunity to develop core accounting and reporting skills within a well‑established finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post standard and recurring journal entries
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Support accruals, reclassifications, and account reviews
- Assist with data validation across subledgers and reporting tools
- Support internal reporting packs and month‑end close documentation
- Work with AP, AR, and General Ledger teams to resolve open items and improve data quality
Qualifications and Desired Skills
- Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years of experience in a finance or accounting support role and a good understanding of core accounting principles.
- Strong Excel skills are essential, and experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle R12 is desirable.
