Our client is recruiting for a Finance Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis. The role is office‑based in Inverclyde and involves some flexibility of start and finish times, with the possibility of increased flexibility after successful probation.
About the role
Finance Transactions Team Leader – responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions across multiple entities. Lead a small transactional finance team, ensuring invoices, payments, reconciliations, and customer accounts are processed accurately and efficiently, meeting deadlines. This hands‑on role combines people management with operational delivery. Support, develop and motivate the team, oversee workload allocation and performance, act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, and work closely with the wider finance team to drive continuous improvement across transactional processes.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Previous experience supervising an Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or transactional finance team.
- Strong understanding of end‑to‑end finance processes and controls.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong Excel skills, and ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Confident communicator, comfortable working across departments and supporting stakeholders at varying levels.
- Experience in a multi‑entity or shared services environment would be beneficial.
