We are currently looking for an experienced Domestic Electrician to join a growing and reputable electrical contractor working across Glasgow and surrounding areas. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a mix of installation, maintenance, and upgrade work within residential properties.
As a Domestic Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of electrical works in occupied and void residential properties.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and replacement of wiring systems in domestic properties
- Consumer unit (fuse board) upgrades and replacements
- Fault finding and carrying out repairs
- Installation of sockets, lighting, and switches
- Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with current regulations
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer service
- Completing relevant job reports and certification
- Proven experience working as a domestic electrician
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation
- Full UK driving licence
- 2391 Testing & Inspection
- Experience with EICRs and landlord certificates
- Salary up to 41,500 DOE
- Overtime available at enhanced rates - On call rota is optional
- Company van and fuel card (if applicable)
- 23 days holiday (including bank holidays)
