Hours: Day Shift - 39 hours per week (Monday to Thursday)
Available shift patterns:
- 6:00am - 4:15pm
- 6:30am - 4:45pm
- 7:00am - 5:15pm
- 7:30am - 5:45pm
Pay: Starting from £13.00 per hour (depending on experience). Rate to be reviewed following successful completion of a 3-month probation period.

About the Role:
Our client is currently recruiting for a General Labourer to join a busy engineering facility. This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation of the factory and yard areas, ensuring materials and waste products are processed efficiently and safely. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining housekeeping standards, handling swarf and scrap materials, and supporting general site operations. A valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control and manage the throughput of swarf materials
- Transport swarf bins from production machines to the briquette machine area
- Process aluminium swarf into pucks using the briquette machine
- Segregate and manage cast iron swarf and scrap materials
- Coordinate collections of pucks, swarf, and scrap aluminium with collection drivers and suppliers
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard and working area
- Assist as part of the Spill Team when required
- Carry out general labouring and housekeeping duties across the site, including operating the FLT
- Follow all company health & safety procedures at all times
About You:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence essential
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment
- Good awareness of health & safety practices
- Reliable, hardworking, and proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
