The Business

Our client is a nationwide manufacturer within the packaging supply chain and has been operating since 2016. The business produces over 300 million units and continues to grow year after year. The Role

As a Packer / Baler Operative, you will play an important part in the day‑to‑day production and dispatch process. You will be responsible for packing finished goods into boxes, ensuring items are ready for shipment and helping to keep the working area clean, safe and organised.

Responsibilities
  • Packing goods into boxes ready for shipment
  • Ensuring products are packed correctly, safely and to the required standard
  • Quality checking items for any defects or damage
  • Labelling, organising and preparing packed goods for dispatch
  • Using the baling machine to dispose of excess cardboard safely
  • Breaking down and managing cardboard waste in the production area
  • Carrying out manual handling duties, including lifting and moving stock
  • Keeping your workstation clean, tidy and safe
  • Completing basic paperwork where required
  • Supporting the wider production and warehouse team when needed

The Person

We are looking for reliable, motivated and hard‑working individuals who are keen to secure a long‑term role.

Requirements
  • Be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
  • Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Be able to work in a fast‑paced production or warehouse environment
  • Take pride in accuracy, quality and attention to detail
  • Be flexible and willing to support different areas of the business when required
  • Be reliable, punctual and committed to doing a good job
  • Have previous packing, production, warehouse or manufacturing experience, although full training will be provided

This role would suit someone who has worked as a Packer, Warehouse Operative, Production Operative, Dispatch Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Recycling Operative or General Operative.
