Purpose of Role

To deliver high-quality teaching and learning in English, Maths, and/or ICT up to Level 2. Responsible for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for a diverse range of learners, helping them to develop the essential skills needed for work and life. Assess individual needs, plan and deliver tailored lessons, and track student progress to ensure successful outcomes.

Key Result Areas

  • Plan and Deliver Training: Design and deliver engaging and effective lesson plans for Functional Skills, catering to various learning styles and abilities.
  • Learner Assessment and Support: Conduct initial assessments to identify individual learner needs and goals. Provide ongoing academic and pastoral support to motivate students.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor, review, and record learner progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear targets for achievement.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and improvement of learning materials, ensuring they are current, relevant, and meet awarding body standards.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages learner participation and success.
  • Administrative Duties: Complete all necessary administrative tasks, including marking assessments, maintaining accurate records, and preparing for internal and external verification.
