We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assembly Operative on behalf of a long-established manufacturing business with a strong reputation for engineering excellence.
Pay & Hours
- Pay rate: 14.30 per hour
- Hours: 39 hours per week (flexible working)
- Start times: Flexible between 6:00am, with finish times typically no later than 6:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble products in line with company work instructions and engineering drawings
- Carry out soldering and crimping of cable and PCB assemblies
- Ensure all work meets required quality and production standards
- Maintain accurate records using company works order systems
- Inspect, maintain, and report issues with tools and equipment
- Identify and resolve assembly or process issues where possible
- Support the introduction of new products into production
- Work in line with Health & Safety procedures, including correct use of PPE
- Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing activities
- Cross-train across different assembly areas as required
- Support team output to meet production targets and deadlines
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an assembly, production, or manufacturing environment
- Experience with soldering or electrical/mechanical assembly (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Positive, team-focused attitude
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
