About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced Fostering Social Worker to join a dedicated fostering team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people by supporting foster carers to provide safe, stable, and nurturing homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake assessments of prospective foster carers (Form F assessments)
- Provide ongoing supervision, support, and guidance to approved foster carers
- Complete annual reviews of fostering households
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to ensure positive outcomes for children
- Ensure all safeguarding procedures are adhered to at all times
- Support placement stability and contribute to care planning
- Participate in out-of-hours duty work on a rota basis (if applicable)
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
- Proven experience within fostering, kinship, or children's services
- Strong assessment and report-writing skills
- Sound knowledge of fostering regulations, standards, and safeguarding practice
- Ability to build strong relationships with carers, children, and professionals
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
