Our client, based in the Frodsham/Preston Brook area near Runcorn, is looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Worker who can also TIG weld to a high standard. The position is permanent from day one, working a 4‑day week Monday to Thursday, with a very competitive hourly rate.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and parts according to specifications.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings to carry out fabrication.
  • Use rollers, bend, mark out, cut material, and operate a press brake, understanding angle projections and bend allowances.
  • Work with a variety of metals—primarily stainless steel—to assemble components and create high‑quality products.
  • Manage small welding jobs independently while working as part of a small team.

Requirements

  • Skilled or qualified in welding, mainly TIG, and able to read engineering drawings.
  • Experience with sheet metal processes, rolling, forming, cutting, marking out, etc.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as a cooperative team player.
