Connect Appointments is recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join an established food production business based in Freuchie (near Glenrothes) on a full-time permanent basis. Our client operates a busy food processing facility in Fife, offering a competitive salary, a 4-on 4-off continental shift pattern and a clear commitment to safety and professional development.

What's on offer?

  • Full-time permanent position
  • 4-on 4-off continental shift pattern of days and nights:
    • Days: 6am to 6pm
    • Nights: 6pm to 6am
  • Paid at £47,228.80 per annum
  • Opportunities for training and professional development

As an Electrical Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, machinery and production lines
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults to minimise downtime
  • Maintaining PLCs, motors, drives, sensors and control panels
  • Supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and collaborating with production and mechanical teams to improve equipment reliability

To be considered as an Electrical Engineer, you will need:

  • SVQ3 and HNC in Electrical Engineering
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification and IPAF licence
  • Experience in an industrial or food processing environment with knowledge of single and three phase systems
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs and industrial automation
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programmes and CMMS
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP or similar food safety systems
