Roles & Responsibilities

  • Resource and allocate loads daily, achieving best possible margins
  • Schedule deliveries in line with customer expectations
  • Proactively source additional work via transport trading platforms
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
  • Maintain regular communication with subcontract hauliers
  • Monitor delivery performance and manage any delays
  • Work to operational KPIs and business targets

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Transport Broker / Transport Trader
  • Strong background negotiating transport rates with subcontractors
  • Good knowledge of UK transport legislation (drivers' hours, WTD, vehicles)
  • Detailed understanding of the UK general haulage market
  • Strong UK geographical knowledge
