Do you have a sound knowledge and experience of teaching phonics? TeacherActive are proud to be working with a mainstream primary school in the Neath area. This school prides itself on its friendly, welcoming, and nurturing environment where positive relationships and lifelong friendships are made.
The position is full‑time for a term initially to cover a secondment, but it has the potential to extend for the right person. The school is looking for a Foundation Phase Teacher who will be able to follow the Read Write Inc phonics framework to plan engaging and inclusive lessons. The teacher should create a stimulating learning environment that supports the development of each child to reach their full potential, foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues, and organise and direct the work of support staff to maximise learning outcomes in the classroom and write end‑of‑term reports.
The successful Teacher will have:
- QTS
- Experience of working in the Foundation Phase
- Sound knowledge and experience of teaching phonics
- Read Write Inc qualification (desirable not essential)
