We are currently hiring an experienced Kitchen - Food Production Operative to work for our client in Park Royal.

Pay Rate: 12.71

Location: Park Royal

Hours: 08:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable Production Operative to join our team at Park Royal. This role involves assisting with food preparation, meal assembly, packaging, operating machinery or manual tools, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen. You will play a vital role in ensuring meals are prepared safely and efficiently according to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation: Washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients accurately.
  • Cooking and Assembly: Assisting in cooking processes and assembling meals following recipes and quality standards.
  • Operating Machinery/Tools: Operating machinery or manual tools to produce or package goods safely and efficiently.
  • Packaging: Correctly packaging, labeling, and storing meals to maintain freshness and comply with food safety regulations.
  • Assembling and Preparing Products: Assembling, packaging, or preparing products according to company standards and production schedules.
  • Order Reading: Ability to read orders accurately to pick the correct products.
  • Freezer Work: Occasionally required to enter the freezer to pick the right ingredients.
  • Quality Control: Monitoring ingredient and product quality; reporting issues to senior staff promptly.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Keeping the kitchen clean and organized in line with health and safety guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with chefs, kitchen assistants, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.

Additional Information

This is a hands-on role that supports local nurseries and businesses by preparing meals specifically designed for children.

Requirements

  • Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene certificate (essential)
  • Previous experience in a food environment preferred
  • Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work consistently on afternoon shifts
