Are you an experienced Folder Gluer Operator looking for a permanent role with a well-established packaging business? This is a great opportunity to join a skilled production team and take ownership of a key machine in a busy, well-organised manufacturing environment. You will be working on a rotating shift pattern, giving you a consistent structure and regular hours across the working week.

This is a permanent position based in Alconbury, Cambridgeshire, with straightforward access from the A14 and surrounding areas. Main Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and monitor the folder gluer machine in line with job specifications
  • Carry out make-ready and changeovers efficiently to minimise downtime between jobs
  • Carry out visual quality checks throughout the production run, including checking fold accuracy, glue application, and finished carton integrity
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments to maintain output quality and speed
  • Complete line clearances between jobs and maintain accurate production records
  • Support and guide assistant operators and packing staff during your shift
  • Carry out routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on the machine
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work area
Skills/Experience required:
  • Proven hands-on experience operating a folder gluer machine in a packaging or print environment
  • Ability to set up and make-ready independently without close supervision
  • Strong eye for quality and the ability to identify and resolve issues during a run
  • Experience with Bobst or similar equipment is highly desirable
  • Comfortable working rotating shifts and flexible around production demands
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and focused on achieving production targets without compromising quality
Working Hours:

Rotating shift pattern, Monday to Friday.
