We are recruiting for a Fixed Wire Tester / Fixed Wire Test Electrician to join a specialist electrical team working across a portfolio of commercial sites in the Bristol area. This is a great opportunity for an experienced 2391-qualified electrician looking for a role with strong earning potential, consistent overtime opportunities and the chance to work across a variety of commercial environments.

The Role

  • Working across multiple commercial sites, you will be responsible for carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and Fixed Wire Testing, identifying remedial works and ensuring systems remain compliant with current regulations.

Key Duties

  • Carry out Fixed Wire Testing and EICRs across commercial properties
  • Identify faults and produce remedial work reports
  • Ensure all work complies with BS7671 - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Complete certification and documentation accurately and within required timeframes
  • Represent the business professionally on client sites
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
  • Maintain vehicle and work records in line with company procedures
  • Follow all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies

Requirements

  • City & Guilds 2391 - Test & Inspection (essential)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
  • Experience carrying out Fixed Wire Testing within commercial environments
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

  • £55,000 - £65,000
  • Company van & Fuel Card
  • Overtime available regularly
  • Monday - Thursday 12pm - 9pm working pattern
  • Friday - 8am - 5pm
  • 25 Days annual leave + Bank Holidays
  • Travel Time paid
