We are seeking experienced Fire & Security Engineers to join a busy field-based team carrying out servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and small works across a mixture of residential and commercial sites. The company works heavily within housing associations, HMOs, communal residential buildings, and commercial environments, offering long‑term stability and a varied workload. A company van will be provided for employed engineers. Contractor options are also available.

Role

As a Fire & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of a range of fire and security systems across multiple client sites throughout Hampshire and Dorset. This is a mobile role suited to someone who enjoys working independently, fault finding, and delivering excellent customer service on‑site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service and maintenance of fire alarm systems
  • Fault finding across fire & security systems
  • Maintenance of CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems
  • Emergency lighting testing and maintenance
  • Completing compliance paperwork and service reports
  • Attending reactive callouts when required
  • Working across residential, HMO, housing association, and commercial sites
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations

What They Are Looking For

Essential

  • Previous experience as a Fire & Security Engineer
  • Experience servicing and maintaining multiple systems
  • Good fault‑finding ability
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong customer‑facing skills

Desirable

  • Experience within housing associations or HMOs
  • FIA, ECS, or relevant industry certifications
  • Knowledge of CCTV, access control, and emergency lighting systems

Key Attributes

  • Reliable and self‑motivated
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work independently in a field‑based environment
  • Organised with good attention to detail
