An experienced Electrical Installation Engineer is sought to join a growing specialist systems company on an initial 3-month temp-to-perm contract. This hands-on field-based role involves the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of detection and monitoring systems across customer sites in London and the surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and commission detection and monitoring systems
- Carry out first and second fix electrical works including wiring, panel mounting, and terminations
- Perform testing, fault finding, and planned preventative maintenance
- Complete site surveys and support technical quotations
- Provide technical support to customers and internal teams
- Maintain accurate documentation, commissioning records, and site paperwork
- Ensure high standards of customer service and site safety at all times
Requirements:
- Electrical installation or control panel background
- Experience with alarm systems, wiring, and electronic components
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Valid CSCS card essential
- IPAF and PASMA certifications desirable
- Additional electrical/site qualifications such as SSSTS advantageous
- Any exposure to PLCs, system programming, or AutoCAD would be beneficial
