Support and contribute towards the planning and delivery of individual care, supporting in all aspects of daily living, as our client has physical, sensory & cognitive disabilities and is wheelchair dependent.
Work with a treatment team of therapists (SALT, Physiotherapist & Occupational Therapist) to complete therapy programmes, motivate & engage the client in recreational & educational activities. Experience in delivering therapy programmes is desirable but full training will be provided.
Experience of working with young adults with physical & cognitive impairment is essential. The position is suited to someone who has a positive attitude plus the ability to motivate & engage.
The young man is a music enthusiast, loves comedy and likes to go out for food. Someone with a musical interest would be preferable but not essential.
A current driving license is essential. Experience of driving a wheelchair accessible vehicle is preferable. Ideally, you will hold an NVQ Level 3.
