We have a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded and reputable global company as a Laboratory Technician where you will be joining their team to work on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week, 8am - 4.30pm. There is pay review pending in May for this role. This is a permanent part time opportunity, offering a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic laboratory environment.
The successful candidate will carry out analytical testing on raw materials and finished products to ensure the quality of our product range.
Your Day‑to‑Day Duties:
- Perform analysis and operations to agreed plans and schedules
- Produce and report accurate analytical results
- Immediately report any out of spec. results or non-conformance
- Guarantee compliance with internal and external audit requirements
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations within the lab
- Assist in the preparation of samples, reagents, and solutions
- Collaborate with the team to support ongoing research and projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise in the lab

What We're Looking For:
We are looking for someone who has previous experience in a laboratory setting within a food, beverage or food service industry, strong attention to detail, excellent communication and organisational skills. Microbiological experience would be a distinct advantage. You will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team and be proficient in using laboratory equipment and software. Knowledge of safety standards and protocols in a laboratory environment is also required. A degree in a scientific discipline or related field is desired, as well as experience in a specific area of research or testing pertinent to the lab's focus.
