Position: Ocean Freight Coordinator

Location: Liverpool

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30-17:30pm (Hybrid working available)

Salary: up to 34,000

Job Purpose

You will be accountable to the Team Leader for the day-to-day running of the bookings function, ensuring operational procedures are followed, and delivering a high standard of service to customers and overseas partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage your own workload efficiently to support business priorities and service levels
  • Handle customer and overseas agent queries promptly, ensuring clear and consistent communication
  • Liaise with shipping lines to arrange and amend bookings as required
  • Ensure all bookings match customer requirements accurately and are processed in a timely manner
  • Monitor and review performance across your allocated trades
  • Follow company procedures and maintain high operational standards at all times
  • Provide proactive updates to clients and overseas agents regarding shipment status, including any delays or issues
  • Escalate operational issues to the line manager where required
  • Work closely with the documentation team to ensure smooth shipment processing

  • Strong willingness to learn and develop within the role
