We are a small, well-established wrought iron business specialising in bespoke gates, railings, handrails, and balustrades. Nearly all of our work is made for private clients, and all of our work is made to very high standards. We are looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator who takes pride in their work and can fabricate independently from drawings and sketches. Working to a high standard is paramount. Welding and grinding need to be neat, and every job produced needs to be made with a high level of care and attention, no matter how big or small.
The Role
- You will be fabricating bespoke, made-to-order, wrought iron items including:
- Large driveway gates
- Pedestrian gates
- Handrails
- Balustrades
- Railings
- Composite gates
- Decorative ironwork
Work is varied and detail-driven, so accuracy and consistency are essential.
Skills & Experience Required
- You must be able to demonstrate:
- MIG/MAG welding experience
- Confident use of grinders, drills, saws, and hand tools
- Ability to read drawings and work to measurements
- Experience in fabricating frames and assemblies
- Working to small tolerances - 1mm
- A good eye for detail
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
Previous experience in bespoke metalwork or architectural steel is highly desirable. This is NOT an entry-level position.
