Facilities Technician, Glasgow, Temp to Perm, 22.67 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) in line with site schedules and compliance requirements
  • Respond to and resolve reactive maintenance issues efficiently and safely
  • Maintain and repair plumbing and mechanical systems including pumps, pipework, valves, water systems and associated plant
  • Support the day‑to‑day operation of the building and ensure minimal disruption to site operations
  • Complete maintenance records, job sheets and compliance paperwork accurately
  • Liaise with site management and subcontractors where required
  • Ensure all works are completed in accordance with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Strong plumbing and mechanical maintenance experience within a facilities management or building services environment
  • Previous experience working on a static site is essential
  • Experience carrying out both PPM and reactive maintenance tasks
  • IPAF licence required
  • 18th Edition qualification desirable but not essential
  • Good fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team
  • Immediately available or available within one week maximum

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience within commercial building environments
  • Multi‑skilled maintenance background
  • Familiarity with compliance procedures and permit‑to‑work systems
