Facilities Technician, Glasgow, Temp to Perm, 22.67 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) in line with site schedules and compliance requirements
- Respond to and resolve reactive maintenance issues efficiently and safely
- Maintain and repair plumbing and mechanical systems including pumps, pipework, valves, water systems and associated plant
- Support the day‑to‑day operation of the building and ensure minimal disruption to site operations
- Complete maintenance records, job sheets and compliance paperwork accurately
- Liaise with site management and subcontractors where required
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Strong plumbing and mechanical maintenance experience within a facilities management or building services environment
- Previous experience working on a static site is essential
- Experience carrying out both PPM and reactive maintenance tasks
- IPAF licence required
- 18th Edition qualification desirable but not essential
- Good fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team
- Immediately available or available within one week maximum
Desirable Experience:
- Experience within commercial building environments
- Multi‑skilled maintenance background
- Familiarity with compliance procedures and permit‑to‑work systems
