Structural Steel Welders - Hartlepool - Immediate Starts

Pay Rates:

  • £17.00 per hour PAYE
  • £21.00 per hour CIS

Working Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 07:30am - 5:00pm
  • Friday: 07:30am - 4:00pm

30-minute unpaid break daily (12:00pm - 12:30pm)

The Role:

  • Welding structural steel components
  • Completing fillet welds - single and multi-run
  • Working with plate thicknesses from 8mm - 30mm regularly
  • Working on heavier fabrication including:
    • 70mm fillet welds
    • 100mm butt welds
  • Working from engineering drawings
  • Using overhead cranes within the workshop safely

Requirements:

  • Previous structural steel welding experience
  • Confident completing single and multi-run fillet welds
  • Experience within heavy fabrication environments
  • Able to work from engineering drawings
  • Competent using overhead cranes
  • Reliable and safety conscious

Interview Process:

  • One-stage interview process
  • Interview conducted by Richard Everton
  • Includes:
    • Overhead crane test
    • Weld test: 8mm single-run fillet weld
    • Multi-run fillet weld on 10-15mm plate
